Learn to play, learn to kayak! Classes are held at Arnold Heights outdoor pool in Air Park – Lincoln, NE. Contact us or Southeast Community College to register.


Beginner Kayak Polo: FREE!
Beginner Kayak Polo is a great way to learn how to play kayak polo in comfortable, slow paced environment with an instructor. Material covered includes gear, game basics and techniques with hands on instruction and a game of kayak polo to pull it all together. No experience is needed and all gear is provided, including kayaks. Recommended prerequisite: Kayaking 101

Beginner Kayaking Cost: $35
Learn the basics and fundamentals of safe and fun kayaking. Class topics include safety, different kayak types and selection, related gear, transportation and storage, paddling technique and kayaking locations in and around Lincoln. All gear and instruction is provided. You can also bring your own kayak if you wish.

Advanced Kayaking Cost: $45
Learn advanced kayaking skills. Class topics include wet exit, wet entry, rescue techniques, use of different kayaks, advanced paddling techniques and bracing. All gear and instruction is provided. You can also bring your own kayak if you wish.

Intro to Kayak Rolling Cost: $45
Introduction to the art of rolling a kayak. Topics include wet exit, body mechanics, assisted and self rescue, specialized paddling techniques and gear.

Kayak Rolling (Intro to Kayak Rolling Req.) Cost: $75
Learn to roll a kayak. Guided, hands on instruction rolling a kayak. Topics include different types of rolls, body mechanics, paddle use and proper gear.

Attire
Dress in clothes you can get wet such as swim suits or synthetic clothing (i.e. running shorts/shirts). Cotton clothing is discouraged.
Towel and dry change of clothes or recommended.
